Braylen Elzy, UPN student

Braylen joined the lab Summer ‘25 from New Mexico Highlands University. He is using tissue autofluorescence via fiber photometry to detect SD in anesthetized behaving mice.

Outside of the lab, Braylen enjoys staying active and keeping up with sports, particularly baseball. As a collegiate athlete, he’s always up for a game, whether it’s spikeball, slow-pitch softball, or basketball, and he likes spending time outdoors hiking or fishing. When he’s not onthe move, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and he’s always down to relax with some video games when he gets the chance.
